First Released of Necroanimalis on itch.io!

Hello and welcome to Necroanimalis's very first blog post.

Today I'm writing to share with you how it has been a long journey with me being a programmer then game developer for the past 3 years (I started early 2017). As some of you know me I have been making tech demos on GMS and GMS2 at first then moved onto Unity when I got a contract to make a commercial game. Finally its been months since the project was completed and now I am currently back refreshed and armed with every bit of knowledge to make bigger and better games. Enough about me because this post and Necroanimalis is my debut as a real full fledged game developer.

Necroanimalis is a story about an apprentice necromancer who was hired as a Pet Necromancer for a Taxidermy Clinic named as per title. On the first day of the game, you play as the necromancer and your boss from the clinic need you to head out there and save her client's pets from death by performing the resurrection spell. This spell can only work when specific ingredients are used in accordance to the dead pet characteristics. Ingredients are typically found by collecting/harvesting/salvaging stuff from the environment and some rare ingredients require multiple steps to obtain.

The game is designed to be story rich/driven told from a visual novel perspective with developed character personalities. With further development to the game, the story will revolve around a mystery plaguing Necroanimalis Clinic and the modern society in which magic and technology coexist. How this story will unfold can only be achieved with support from you. If you have read to this point then I assure you that I am pretty much invested in taking the  game further as you have invested your time reading till this point.

If you have not downloaded the game, please do so and although it is about 15 minutes long, I assure you that this game can be considered as complete as it gets for a first level demo. However, do note that this early prototype may lack a few features or is not designed to a style or format you are familiar to. If you have any feedback please do post it in the comments below and I appreciate every feedback I can get in improving the game's direction.

By the way this game is made for the Game Dev Network Big Festive Jam 2020 and the theme is inspired by the game jam theme: Second Chances.

Anyway, I always like to keep my post short and sweet so I would like to thank those who have played the game and appreciate any sort  of support, whether it being verbal, time,  or monetary.
